We measure it ourselves
Every job starts with our own site survey. Fabrication is cut to the opening as it actually is, not as the drawing says it should be — which is where most glazing problems begin.
Ajman Industrial Area 1 · United Arab Emirates
Al Makan fabricates and installs architectural glass, aluminium and metal works across the UAE — surveyed, made in our own Ajman workshop, and fitted by the team that built it.
Who we are
Al Makan Alum and Glass Cont. works out of Ajman Industrial Area 1, supplying and installing architectural glass, aluminium systems and metal fabrication across the United Arab Emirates.
The distinction that matters: we are a fabricator. The survey, the cutting, the welding, the finishing and the installation are all ours. That means when something needs to change on site — and on real jobs it usually does — the people who can change it are the people already standing there.
We work directly with building owners and tenants, and as a specialist subcontractor to main contractors, fit-out companies and interior designers who need a glazing and metalwork package handled properly.
What we do
Most projects need more than one of these. Handling them all in-house is what removes the gaps between trades where delays and blame usually live.
Dividing and finishing interiors with architectural glass.
Shopfronts, entrances, windows and everything that opens.
Processed glass — toughened, laminated, sandblasted and curved.
Steel, stainless and aluminium fabrication, cladding and bespoke work.
Why Al Makan
None of these are slogans. They are the operational choices that decide whether a glazing job finishes on time and stays right afterwards.
Every job starts with our own site survey. Fabrication is cut to the opening as it actually is, not as the drawing says it should be — which is where most glazing problems begin.
Cutting, welding, assembly and finishing happen in Ajman Industrial Area 1. Keeping the work in-house is what keeps lead times and quality under our control rather than a supplier’s.
The team that fabricates your units is the team that fits them. Nothing is handed to a subcontractor who has never seen the job.
Coastal humidity, summer heat and fine dust are hard on glazing. We specify finishes, gaskets and hardware that are chosen for this climate, not imported defaults.
Most jobs need more than one trade. Handling the glazing, the aluminium and the metalwork ourselves removes the gaps between contractors where delays hide.

How we work
Six steps, no surprises. You will always know which one your job is on.
Call or send a WhatsApp with photos, drawings or just a description. We will tell you straight away whether it is something we do and roughly what is involved.
We come out and measure properly — openings, levels, fixings, access. This is also where we flag anything that will affect the price before it becomes a surprise.
A written quote with the system, glass type, finish, hardware and timeline set out clearly. If you want alternatives at different price points, we will price them side by side.
Your units are cut, assembled and finished in our workshop. We keep you updated as the work progresses rather than leaving you to chase.
Our own team delivers and installs, protects the surrounding finishes, and clears the site afterwards. Snags are dealt with before we call the job done.
We walk the job with you, adjust anything that needs adjusting, and stay reachable afterwards for servicing or additions.
Site survey, written specification and a clear timeline — from a contractor who fabricates the work itself.
Materials & workmanship
A glazed unit is only as good as its weakest component. These are the four places we refuse to economise, because they are the four that fail first.
Every unit is cut to a surveyed dimension. Openings in real buildings are rarely square and rarely match the drawing — designing around that is the difference between a clean install and a week of packing and silicone.
Our work
Photography of completed Al Makan jobs goes here. Nothing on this page is stock imagery or another company's work.
These slots are intentionally empty. Al Makan has not yet supplied photographs of completed work, and the site will not use stock images pretending to be its projects. Send us 8–12 job photos and this becomes the strongest section on the page.
Knowledge
Practical answers to the questions that decide a specification. Published as each one is written.
They are not interchangeable and they are not competing grades. One changes how glass breaks; the other changes what happens after it does — and the right answer depends entirely on where the pane is going.

11 August 2026 · 8 min readSalt-laden air, fine dust and 45°C summers are harder on glazing than almost any European climate. A short, realistic routine that genuinely extends the life of a facade — and the three mistakes that shorten it.

If it involves glass, aluminium or steel fabrication, it is worth asking.
Yes. We fabricate in our own workshop in Ajman Industrial Area 1 and install with our own team. You are dealing with one company from survey through to handover rather than coordinating a fabricator and a fitter separately.
Both. We work directly with building owners and tenants, and as a specialist subcontractor to main contractors, fit-out companies and interior designers who need the glazing and metalwork packages handled properly.
Call or WhatsApp us on +971 56 436 9675 with photographs, drawings or dimensions. For anything beyond a simple replacement we will arrange a site survey, because measuring the opening ourselves is the only way to give you a price that will not move.
Often, yes. Send a photo of what you have and we will tell you whether it can be repaired, matched, or whether replacement is the more sensible option. We will say so if repair is not worth your money.
