Who we are
A fabricator, not a middleman
Al Makan Alum and Glass Cont. is a glass, aluminium and metal works contractor based in Ajman Industrial Area 1, working across the United Arab Emirates. We fabricate and install architectural glass, aluminium systems and metalwork — partitions and shopfronts, doors and windows, shower enclosures, processed glass, cladding, stainless steel and structural metal.
What that means in practice is that the survey, the drawings, the cutting, the welding, the finishing and the installation all happen within one company. There is no chain of suppliers between the person who measures a job and the person who fits it. On real sites, things move — an opening is not where the drawing said, a substrate will not take the fixing that was specified, a client changes a detail after fabrication has started. When the fabricator is also the installer, those things get solved on the day instead of becoming a three-week email thread.
We work directly with building owners, tenants and homeowners, and as a specialist subcontractor to main contractors, fit-out companies, interior designers and facility management teams who need a glass and aluminium package handled by people who understand the trade rather than resold by people who do not.

Turning a brief, a sketch or an architect’s drawing into fabrication drawings that carry real dimensions, sections, hardware positions and tolerances.
Craftsmen
The finishing work that decides whether a job looks made or looks assembled — dressed welds, aligned reveals, consistent silicone lines, doors that close properly.

None of this is visible in a photograph. All of it is why the job still works in five years.
Precision
Openings surveyed with diagonals and multiple readings, not one width and one height. Most glass and aluminium problems are measurement problems that were noticed too late to fix cheaply.
Quality workmanship
A weld ground back until the joint disappears, a gasket cut to length rather than stretched, a hinge set to the actual leaf weight. None of it is visible in a photograph, and all of it is why the job still works in five years.
Custom solutions
Buildings are rarely square, and catalogues assume they are. We make the piece to the opening that was actually built, rather than forcing a standard size in and closing the gap with silicone.
Professional installation
Our own installers, working to a method rather than to whatever is quickest. Protection left on until the surrounding trades finish, and the area cleaned down before we leave.
Commitment to timelines
A programme we believe rather than one that wins the conversation. Where a lead time depends on glass processing or a coating queue, we say so at quotation stage instead of at the point it slips.
Straight answers
If 304 stainless will stain in your position, if a core specification does not meet what the building requires, or if a detail as drawn will not work — we say so before you commit, not after.

How a job actually runs
Six steps. The survey is the one that decides whether the price holds.

Enquiry
Call, WhatsApp or the quote form. Drawings, dimensions or a photograph of the space are all useful — a photograph often tells us more than a description.
- 02
Site survey
For anything beyond a straightforward replacement we measure ourselves. It is the only way to quote a price that will not move once work starts.
- 03
Quotation and drawings
A written scope, specification and price. For bespoke work, fabrication drawings are issued for approval before any glass is toughened.
- 04
Fabrication
Cut, machined, welded and finished in our own workshop, trial-assembled where the piece allows it.
- 05
Installation
Fitted and adjusted by our own installers, protected until the surrounding trades have finished, and cleaned down on completion.
- 06
Handover and aftercare
Adjustment, maintenance and repair after handover — including on systems we did not originally install.
