This page explains what happens to any information you send us through this website. In short: this site has no server, stores nothing about you, and sets no cookies.
Who we are
Al Makan Alum and Glass Cont. (Al Makan) is a glass, aluminium and metal works contractor based at Ajman Industrial Area 1, Ajman, United Arab Emirates. This policy covers the website at www.almakani.com.
What this website collects
Nothing automatically. This is a static website. It has no database, no login, no user accounts and no server-side application. Pages are plain files delivered by the web host. Nothing you do on this site is recorded by us.
We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising or profiling. We do not use analytics or advertising pixels. If analytics is added in future, this page will be updated before it is switched on, and any consent required will be requested at that time.
What happens when you use the forms
The contact form and the quotation request form on this site do not send data to a server. When you complete a form and submit it, the details you entered are assembled into a message on your own device and handed to one of two applications that you choose:
- WhatsApp — WhatsApp opens with the message prefilled. You review it and press send yourself. The message is delivered by WhatsApp under WhatsApp's own privacy terms, and reaches our business number +971 56 436 9675.
- Email — your email application opens with the message prefilled and addressed to almakan.uae@gmail.com. You review it and press send yourself.
Nothing is transmitted anywhere until you press send in that application. If you close the form without sending, the information you typed is discarded when you leave the page. Files you attach to the quote form are listed by name in the message, but the file contents cannot be transmitted by a form on a static website — we ask you to attach them directly in WhatsApp or email.
What we do with what you send us
Once your enquiry reaches us by WhatsApp, email or telephone, we use it for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, arrange a survey and carry out the work if you instruct us. Enquiry records are kept for as long as they are commercially or legally necessary, and are held in our own business accounts on WhatsApp Business and email.
We do not sell your details, we do not share them with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not add you to marketing lists without you asking. We may share details with a supplier or subcontractor only where it is necessary to price or carry out your specific job — for example, sending measurements to a glass processor.
Third-party services on this site
- Google Maps — the map on our contact page does not load until you click it. Nothing is requested from Google, and no Google cookie is set, unless you choose to load or open the map. Once you do, Google's own privacy terms apply.
- WhatsApp — used only when you click a WhatsApp link. WhatsApp's own terms then apply to the conversation.
- Web hosting — our host may keep standard server access logs (such as IP addresses and requested pages) for security and operational purposes. These logs are the host's, are not used by us for analytics or profiling, and are retained under the host's own retention policy.
Fonts, icons and all artwork on this site are served from our own domain. No third-party font, tag manager, chat widget or advertising script is loaded on any page.
Your rights
You can ask us what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will action reasonable requests. If you asked us for a quotation and would prefer we did not keep the record, tell us and we will remove it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because there is no server-side application, no database and no stored user data, this website itself holds nothing that can be breached. Please do not send payment card details, bank details, passwords or copies of identity documents by WhatsApp or email — we will never ask for them.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses and property owners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we add a form backend, an analytics tool or any other service that changes how information is handled, this page will be updated before that change goes live, and the "last updated" date at the top will change.
